coming out of vista hibernate - message regarding trouble connecting to the internetHello,
When my computer comes out of windows vista hibernate, I am greetied with the following message from soocial:
"There is some trouble connecting to the internet. Can you make sure that you have a working internet connection"
Not quite sure how often this happens but it is either all the time or a lot. Subsequently, the soocial client works fine. The message is just an annoyance.

"but how do we know that you do not want the "internet" label? Your phone adds it after you edit a contact."
On my phone it does not appear as if the label has been changed as a result of the contact edit.
What exactly is the root of the problem here as you see it? On my phone, at least as it is displayed to the user, the field name is the same before and after I edit a contact (suggesting the phone is doing nothing to the field name), yet on soocial it is different before and after I edit a contact on the phone. At first I imagined a simple explanation for this could have been that soocial to phone field mapping was 'out of sync' with phone to soocial field mapping. However, since both soocial-phone sync and google-phone sync (googles own over the air sync) are affected I guess the issue lies with the phone covertly modifying the field labels and not presenting this to the user. Is that reasoning correct? Should this be reported to Nokia?
Yes, I think some kind of filter would be helpful if that turns out to be the only solution to avoiding this behaviour.
Thanks

Nokia S60 phone email field name changesHello,
When I edit a contact on my S60 phone (Nokia E51) the email field names in soocial get undesirably changed:
For example: an email field in Soocial called 'Work' got changed to 'Internet,Work' whilst an email field in Soocial called 'Home' got changed to 'Home,Internet'. The email fields on the phone are called 'E-mail (home)' and 'E-mail (business)' both before and after the sync. Also, the behviour does not require me to edit the email field on the phone (editing any aspect of the contact card causes it).
The good news is that these field name changes did not get propagated to Gmail on the next Gmail sync (presumably because soocial knows gmail only handles home, work, and other as email field names) which is better behaviour than Gmails own over the air contacts sync which just changes all email field names to 'Other' when it is synced directly with my phone (after the contact is edited on the phone).
Nevertheless it would be nice if the soocial sync was intelligent enough to know that the soocial field name should not be changed.

Soocial should provide information on the time of last gmail sync requestFor a gmail connection I think it would be useful to add information about the time of the last manual sync request whilst the sync is in queue but not yet executed.
Sometimes I have scheduled a manual sync and then some minutes later I come back to check if it has been implemented (only I forget which time I made the request) so it is unclear if the last sync occured before or after I made the request.-
