Owen Campbell-Moore started following the problem "Systray Icon Not Showing" in Spotify.
Owen Campbell-Moore reported a problem in Mozilla on June 02, 2009 20:47:
Firefox simply loses connection and needs a restartI've used Firefox for years and having installed Beta 1 of FF3.1 a while ago, it would work fine for about half an hour, but then pages would stop loading and it was as if Firefox had lost all connection to the internet. I'd then have to restart a couple of times an hour and this has actually driven me to switch to Chrome but I'd love to switch back if somebody can help me with this.
Having totally uninstalled 3.1 Beta 1, I tried the stable version, and subsequently the Beta 2 and Beta 3, each with no extensions just in case this was the issue but no dice.
Help?

Here is an application that does just that. It enables Snarl support for Spotify: http://domainrange.blogspot.com/2009/...
Bear in mind you will need to install snarl first before this will work, but its works really well!
SpotifyRawr is 800k when running too so runs fast and wont slow you down! Also because it uses Growl you have limitless customization on the look and feel of the notifications :)

Similar to Toastify here is an application that enables Snarl support for Spotify: http://domainrange.blogspot.com/2009/...
Only SpotifyRawr is 800k when running, not huge and slow like toastify! Also because it uses Growl you have limitless customization on the look and feel of the notifications :)

I've mapped a universal hotkey to always switch to firefox and ubiquity when I hit it now whatever I'm doing, so I've taken to using ubiquity for much more than just in firefox. I use it as a quick translator often but its annoying that I can't select this translation and copy this into another window. This should be added! I dont really understand why it doesn't work now, surely when you have a selection and hit ctrl+c it should copy no matter what program you're in? :S
A comment on the idea "Ubiquity =/= Quick Search Bookmark" in Mozilla:
I agree, I'd like a universal control (I.e. ubiquity) with which I can open urls, bookmarks, do searches, and eventually use it to open other programs and other non-firefox related tasks if it can ever leave the firefox 'shell'.
But yeah, I'd find it much nicer if it could do anything I wanted to do with FF, such as opening sites, not just be restricted and force me to use a seperate menu (url bar) for going to different url. – Owen Campbell-Moore, on January 27, 2009 11:56
