Streamline InstallStreamline the install. Add Ping to button to the bar. When dialog is shown, if user is missing username or key, show the preference dialog (or integrate into this dialog).

Command Subscription Page - feature to warn users to install ubiquityIn the spirit of noscript tags...
Here is a lightweight way to let users know they skipped a step.
On command subscription pages Ubiquity should hide any elements with the class 'no-ubiquity' and then show all html elements with the class 'ubiquity-enabled'.
I've noticed a common problem with people using my commands that are new to Ubiquity is that they missed the Ubiquity install step. This would allow the command install page to highlight this missed step.
Ubiquity's codepath that processes the rel="commands" would have this additional code...
jQuery('.no-ubiquity', Application.activeWindow.activeTab.document).hide();
jQuery('.ubiquity', Application.activeWindow.activeTab.document).show();
Users can still have customized messages like
<div class="no-ubiquity">
<h2>You have NO Ubiquity Firefox Add-on.</h2>
<p>Problem found. Without this add-on, My script will not work. Go install Ubiquity.
</div>
<div class="ubiquity-enabled" style="display: none">
A bunch of HTML describing my commands.
</div>
Of course for command authors using either class is optional.

Jono is this still the case?
I see a long lag time until my code shows up lately... since 1.7.1 I think.
I have an auto-update subscription on a command. If I view source via the about:ubiquity page I see the new code, but my command still executes the old code.
Does the length of the script matter? (Probably voodoo but sometimes when I touch the early part of the script it will see the changes faster)

Mirror Ubiquity JS Docs like CmdUtilsUbiquity documentation from hg repository is very slow and sometimes erroring out. Mirror the docs on a static server. These docs are great, but a couple times over the last few weeks, I've gone to use them and couldn't.
Example:

Add to Feed buttons - subscription awareOnce you Add a Feed to your sidebar the button should say 'remove feed' or change somehow so that you get feedback that you already have subscribed to that channel. Example: Subscribe to TEDTalks from the Miro Guide shuffler. Return to Miro guide later and the should not be a "Add Feed" button under TEDTalks.

It's had some hickups lately (maybe at the moment too), but is https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/herd/ kind like what you want?

CSS missing?Should the page have design elements? I think the CSS is missing for me. I just signd up and none of the pages have been laid out.-

rich cross posting with preview when setting upI am confused about what's possible with ping.fm. Currently I use default settings and have it post to many services. I wish you could have a rich cross-posting with a preview when you are configuring the default | micro | short | blog stuff.
Example: When I post an update with a url in it, and ping reposts to facebook, I want it to post into "Share a link" instead of updating my status. When I go to configure this ( if I have to ... ) then I would want a the preview to say "for a post like this bah hlah http://foo then we will SHARE A LINK http://foo WITH THE COMMENT bah hlah".
In terms of richness:
I wish I could post photos. I wish del.icio.us was richer in that I could capture tags description, etc without having to re-edit within delicious.
The dashboard form should provide more inputs based on the services you have configured. If you have del.icio.us setup then you need a tags field. If you don't have delicious, or another service which takes tags as an input, then it would not show up. Etc for images, music, whatever "richer" metadata and data you are talking about.-
