    Offline/online setting a great idea.
Offline/online option in latest G1 version excellent idea since it allows local recording with later upload. Audio levels are *much* better than for the cupcake camcorder app. I hope local recordings are to SD card (if not, perhaps by option?) so that a significant number of offline recordings don't fill internal flash memory.

Yes, the problem appears solved on 0.0.4. BTW - I am noticing a bit of EDGE noise creeping into the earpiece when qik starts up (if I happen to be in EDGE rather than 3G) but that's presumably a phone design issue. Interesting how you guys got the video record level up to reasonable levels while the native camcorder app has them so low.

On different topic, while the G1 itself can upload private videos to YouTube (where they are currently marked public), and I'm told the Web interface isn't supposed to allow private vids to be sent to YT at all, the Web interface does *seem* to accept the YT upload command, even if it never actually completes.

Hi. It was the latest version on Market as of yesterday evening. Just got the upgrade prompt and will install now. Thanks.

Qik App on G1 apparently interferes with Camcorder G1 app
On the G1, it appears that after running the qik app, any attempts to run the standard (Android 1.5) camcorder app instead open the qik app! This condition clears with reboot.

Private qik videos upload to YouTube as public!
Videos that are tagged as private in qik turn up tagged public when uploaded to YouTube. Oops! Could be embarrassing. Should be tagged private through the YouTube API.

Great work with qik. As Darth Vader would say, "Impressive." I trust ways to review recorded videos directly on the phone (G1 in my case), and perhaps even a mechanism to trim the video via the handset before publishing, might be forthcoming.

I believe qik and related technologies are going to be a Very Big Deal.

    Thanks.
