palimadra replied on October 19, 2009 11:38 to the problem "Cannot SMS to 40404; cannot receive updates either." in Twitter:
If you fed the number correctly with the correct country code you should get a prompt to send the SMS to 53000 (the code for India, 40404 is the code for US Twitter users).
Also Twitter does not allow you to use the same number for two accounts. If you try and validate the same phone number of multiple Twitter a validation error is spitted by the application which is too bad. Can someone else confirm this?
palimadra replied on March 17, 2009 14:42 to the question "how do I delete a tumblelog from my account?" in Tumblr:
Marc,
Thank you for answering the question so quickly.
It was actually a dumb question once I read the section you pointed out. Sorry! It does show how much I (and I'm hoping most of the users) read on the Internet.
I had another question though. I deleted my old account on tumblr. It was 'palimadra'. I created a new account using the same username and the email address and I experienced no problems at all. Now when I try and post (through the tumblr website) or try to view my tumblog at http://palimadra.tumblr.com I cannot do that.
Can you assist me on this.
Thanks in advance and thank you for the prompt reply and my best wishes for the tumblr team.

Thanks for sharing this Kate. The solution you provided fixed the error though as Matt suggested downloading and installing the Linux version on Windows fixes the problem as well.

Thanks for the advice. I was skeptical but downloading the Linux version fixed Twhirl which I was using inside Windows Vista – palimadra, on December 31, 2008 14:03-
