Hello Vicki - we've been undergoing a redesign on our website and the new one should be up by the end of the month. But, in the meantime, we'd love to hear from you at info@dundurn.com and we can answer your questions there.

Stripping HTML code? When I write a review from scratch, ourfaves strips the html code before it posts - but if I write it and then edit it, I can add code. It wasn't doing this before.

No, this still doesn't solve my problem. I'm also getting a javascript void on the submit button. And yes, this just started happening last week and hasn't let me add a fave since. – Ashleigh, on March 30, 2009 22:43

Duplicate locationsI've just looked up nicholas Hoare and there are 3 different entries for the same location.

Faves not savingI've been running into problems saving my reviews - which is making it frustrating to add new content. Using both safari and firefox, I've tried to add new faves this week, and when I get to the end, when I need to rate it with stars, it doesn't save my review - and if I hit back, I lose everything I wrote.-
Ashleigh started following the idea "Can you create a setting to display posts in chronological order (reverse Twitter)?" in Twitter.

Multiple Locations?I liked in the old format that locations that were part of a chain showed up as "multiple locations". Most comments someone would have about a chain restaurant are valid across the chain and not specific to that location - I'm trying to add one for Lettuce Eatery now.

Missing FavesI'm starting to notice a few of my faves missing - and places that had location info - not abstract ones. I had a lot, so I'm just starting to notice a few. Frangipane and the convenience gallery, to be specific.-
Ashleigh started following the problem "Disappearing info." in Ourfaves.com.

Not saving edits?I'm trying to add a missed coffee shop to my list - but when I edit - then go to continue, my changes aren't saved.

HTML tagsI recently discovered that the new site accepts html tags and I've been adding links. Why not take advantage of that feature by mentioning which html tags a fave accepts? Or, maybe even having a button, like blogging sites, to insert certain code?

Blogger/Wordpress Widget? It would be great to have a blogger/wordpress widget that would show a random selection of your "faves" on refreshing the page - or even just your latest fave as you updated. And, it could link back to the site.

Cuisine CategoriesWhen you're categorizing a restaurant - under cuisine type "French" isn't an option.

Writing info for listsWhen I'm writing a description to go along with my list, when it's published it cuts off what I wrote. I'm not sure where the limit is set to on that (how many characters it allows), but some users may want to add copy or instructions for their lists.

The tagging user experienceThe experience of tagging is very complicated. The only way to add new tags is to the location page where you've already written a review, click on the top section to add your tags.
The prompt to add tags should happen when you create a new fave and also if you go back to edit old faves.

Copy describing tagsI think that since you've now gone to a review website, the copy describing how you're tagging a location shouldn't necessarily ask you to add your favorite things, but maybe things that describe the place?

Following?I would like "following" to actually contribute to the user experience. Before the redesign, I liked that there was a newsfeed that let me know the most recent activity of those who I was following.
On the new redesign following doesn't seem to do much at all.

Removing TagsYou should be able to remove tags, I accidently added one I already had, and now it's showing up twice. Also, if I change my mind about somewhere, I want to be able to remove the tag I put on it without removing my review.

Searching By LocationWhen you search within location, it only searches within 1km - most people are willing to travel more than 1 km for what they're looking for - especially when you search "Toronto" and it only shows results within 1km of what the map has deemed the location of Toronto.
I'd prefer for all the results to come up, but maybe ordered by proximity to the initial location I set out?
