Be careful when read the jar name "linksextractor.jar" should be "links" - "extractor" not "link" ... "tractor" :P

You can follow this article but after that you need to change the version in install.rdf to version 3

from:
<em:minversion>1.5</em:minversion>
<em:maxversion>2.0.0.*</em:maxversion>

to:
<em:minversion>3</em:minversion>
<em:maxversion>3.0.*</em:maxversion>

Your menu for sidebar will appear at View -> Sidebar.

Let's me know if you can't create sidebar.
