I Love Spock replied on June 13, 2008 18:55 to the question "How do I delete my account and remove my search result?" in Spock:
Hi Bill,
In order to flag a search result you must first claim your search result. This way Spock can ensure that the person requesting deletion is the correct person, and also that they've taken the necessary steps for removal (this ensures that they won't be reindexed).
In your case since your Myspace and Facebook have indeed been removed, than you should e-mail info@corp.spock.com with your specific search result and explain that your Myspace and Facebook had been previously removed.
While we're working on indexing more regularly on Spock a few things you may want to consider are that 1) if a Facebook or Myspace account has been removed than the link on your search result will send someone to an invalid link. 2) As with any information on the Web it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. So if I create a Myspace page claiming to be the inventor of the cheddar cheese or the heir apparent to the King of Luxembourg, than it wouldn't take much common sense to figure out that you were kidding. The goal of Spock is to merely direct people to where you are most likely on the Web. 3) Spock has a long list of inappropriate terms that are not allowed on the site, so even if you were to own a racially charged or sexist Myspace page with a bunch of swear words and nudity, that information won't end up on the site. 4) Spock enables people to claim their search result so you can easily change the fact that "The Notebook" is not your favorite movie, or that you're not really into competitive gardening.

Hi,
If you feel that private information is being displayed about you, there are a few ways you can remove it. The quickest way(assuming you've claimed your search result) is to vote down the information. If you are still having difficulty please e-mail info@corp.spock.com with your search result and specific problem and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

As noted above, to remove your search result you must first claim your search result. Claiming your search result can be done by clicking the "Claim" link found on the top right corner of a search result. After making sure that the "source" of the information has been made completely private, please flag your search result for deletion noting "Source Removed" in the comments field.

I Love Spock replied on April 30, 2008 18:28 to the discussion "Is Spock address book import retrieving anything other than email addresses? Does it share such info with 3rd parties? ... The privacy policy seems to be saying `Yes`" in Spock:
Importing your address book often makes people nervous. To alleviate this Spock lets you know 1) which of your contacts are on Spock and are current users 2) which of your contacts are on Spock but have not claimed their search result 3) which of your contacts are not on Spock. After that you have to option to invite all, some, or none of your contacts onto Spock.
As a company policy we don't display or store any phone numbers (unless added by the user, such as in the case of owning a business), addresses, SSN, etc. We also don't sell any of our information to third parties.
If you are still anxious about importing your address book you can e-mail info@corp.spock.com with additional questions.

Itsme,
I'm not quite sure what you meant by a picture being taken out of context, but if a photo isn't correctly linked to the source than you should e-mail info@corp.spock.com, providing a link to your search result and the photo.
Again you should keep in mind that Spock is search engine similar to Google and Yahoo in that we display publicly available data (Spock doesn't make up information about people, rather it presents it in an easy to view and search information that was previously on the Web). As Kathy correctly noted, by making your Picasa pictures open to the public you are effectively enabling other people to view your pictures.
My suggestion is that you vote down the pictures that do not represent you, or flag it. Though voting is the quickest way to remove something from the site

Amesmb and Heidigoseek,
With regards to removing the source, you should know that services such as Myspace, and Friendster and Facebook are sites where if you are not signed in you can still search and find some information about you. Since Spock indexes publicly available information,we have no way of initially determining whether or not you want that information to be found. By enabling people to claim their search result and vote down irrelevant information(and display additional more relevant info) it creates an option so that if you can infact have a Myspace profile or Friendster account and not have it connected to your search result.
If you'd like to be completely removed from Spock (which in my biased opinion doesn't make too much sense when you really think about it), you need to remove those public sources of information so that it isn't reindexed the next time Myspace, Friendster, etc are crawled.

I Love Spock replied on March 24, 2008 23:00 to the question "I can not figure out how to ask for a trust relationship" in Spock:
Asking for Trust can be done in a number of ways (keep in mind that you must be user to add trust).
1) Is through our find friends feature which lets you know which of your contacts are on Spock, which are not, and gives you the option to add whichever contacts you like to your search and trust network.
2) After searching a name, you should see next to a persons location "Save/Trust". Once you click the button it will prompt you to a screen where you have the option to send a message requesting their trust.
If it's the case where you don't really know the person or have a common interest, it's best to only save them in your search network which enables you to be updated about any news they might have.
