Although I reset the sync history twice - and reset my iPhone ("reboot") - that actually did nothing to sync the Calendar - everything would sync but the Calendar. Something automatically downloaded to my PC from Microsoft - some OS update or something, and...

Now much to my delight Outlook 2003 syncs with my iPhone. This entire phenomena is a "Bermuda Triangle" experience for me - I have no idea why it stopped and started working again.

I really want to rely on my iPhone Calendar for BUSINESS - but I need "five 9's" reliability - like telecom dial tone... 99.999%. I just don't know how many more hiccups like this I can deal with. I don't want to go back to the Franklin planner.

Ok, I was right the first time... I didn't change ANYTHING!!! Suddenly the Calendar decides NOT to sync. What the **^%%%$$##@#?????!!!!!!! Am I supposed to clear the rest of my day to trouble-shoot this crap?!!!! Is this iPhone going to consistently work or not? I have to leave NOW... and my Calendar isn't synced... unbelievably frustrating!!!! If my company gives me the option of going with iPhone or Blackberry... what will I choose?

My problem is resolved. For some reason I had two Calendars in Outlook - not sure how that happened but once I narrowed it to one Calendar everything worked fine after that.

The Apple iPhone Outlook calendar relationship is a steaming pile. Considering there are millions of PCs with Outlook I'm fuming Apple hasn't done something about this. It's outrageous that one day Outlook calendar syncs with my iPhone and the next it doesn't. My user satisfaction with iPhone is dropping because of the calendar. It's real pain in the !@#$!@#$!!!
