Patrick Mackaaij replied on November 26, 2009 20:43 to the question "Why do Flash objects (like embedded videos) appear over the Wibiya toolbar ?" in Wibiya:
I can't wait: the workaround doesn't work with Apture embedded video's anymore since they've changed the embed-code. Example:

Improve (blog) searchI removed a search box from my sidebar since I have the Wibiya toolbar at the bottom. At least that's what I thought without really testing it (confidence :-)). However: the blog search opens in a popup which builds a bit slow and doesn't look nice. But that's still acceptable.
What doesn't make it work is that clicked links open in a new window. That's OK for the tab "Web" but not for the tab "Blog".
Also: if a search popup is open and you try another search via the Wibiya toolbar it closes the popup and does not execute the new search. It would be nice if you could update the search window with the results of the new query.
For the moment I'm activating my old search and in addition I'll probably disable the Wibiya search ability.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for looking into this. The button is available in WordPress by default, no plugin required.
The editor has to be in Visual (not HTML mode). The button is next to the spell checker in my WordPress. It's a blue icon which indicates a small monitor with some lines of text on it. The alt-text is "Toggle fullscreen mode (Alt+Shift+G)".
Hope you can find it, it's also mentioned in this blogpost:

Yes I know, I've read the complete Apture blog today (since I'm writing an article for my Dutch blog http://www.eenmanierom.nl/).
It would be nice if Apture would embrace more foreign sources of information.
Minor detail: some of the examples in the blog (not the specific one you mention here) don't work anymore since the embedded material has been removed. The one I remember was the blogpost about Michael Jackson's link from the 25th Motown which looks like it should skip righ to the Moonwalk.
Patrick Mackaaij replied on October 24, 2009 19:50 to the question "Twitter conversation support" in Apture, Inc.:
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the fast response. No this is not exactly it. If you click through to another Twitter account you'll see the latest tweets of that account, right? Not the tweet that the one you clicked on was a reply to.
Take this tweet I just posted for instance:
http://twitter.com/mackaaij/status/51...
If I won't update my account for a while and @SpamV does then you won't be able to follow the conversation. You can see a "Show Conversation" in these cases on http://search.twitter.com/.

Add backtype as a source? It would be nice if we could add the Backtype links to a specific page. Like Wibiya does and you can see on my blog http://www.eenmanierom.nl/ (click on Twitter in the bottom right corner).

Twitter conversation supportI'd like to be able to click through to the specific tweet a reply was sent from. Maybe even display the whole conversation like search.twitter.com does?-

Patrick Mackaaij replied on October 15, 2009 05:57 to the idea "Need webpage URL that returns rendered tag as JPG" in Microsoft Tag:
I think http://kolayurl.com/ is not an alternative (yet) since it doesn't offer all the options Microsoft Tag does. Campaign dates, alternative uses (vCard, dialer, free text instead of only URL).
I'd also supply a login with credentials for Microsoft Tag. It's very nice to be able to change the target URL of a Microsoft Tag you've printed in a magazine. I see the security issues but don't think people will create ads which will point to malware sites. It is noted that one should choose a good password for their Microsoft Tag accounts.

Patrick Mackaaij replied on September 24, 2009 22:15 to the problem "HTML code instead of embedded video" in Apture, Inc.:
Thank you very much! I've seen the before and after code and noticed there was something wrong with this:
wmode="opaque"
I must have made this mistake (or WordPress when saving or pasting in wrong places which seems to happen sometimes) since I add this tag. Without opaque the embedded objects scroll over my Wibiya toolbar :-( I think I've got another topic on this somewhere around here.
Anyway, thanks for finding this and apparantly IE is very flexible here :)
Best regards,
Patrick Mackaaij
