No, I'm using Wn 2000 service pack4 rollup1 - this is said to be supported, and
was fine until recently. ( 2 more attempts- on restart, the message assures me that vipre has been completely removed, followed shortly by the Vipre install screen and
then the \\RMP.htm error message, and subsequent ones regarding proxies, etc

-ran the VClean utility posted by peterh, which prompted a message that Vipre had been completely
removed from the system. Downloaded vipre (from a recent link given on this site)
and once again the same error: "RMP.htm is not accessible; network path not found"
along with a message that SPF had generated errors and would need to be restarted, etc.
What now?

patrick moulton asked a question in Sunbelt Software on March 10, 2009 18:34:
Vipre reinstall blocked by " \\rmp.htm" errorI have installed and uninstalled Vipre several times over the last several days, hoping that eventually the promised fix for the "100% CPU usage would be found. Today the re-install is effectively blocked
by the"\\rmp.htm" error that has been posted by a Counterspy user. And,yes, I ran the
'service disable' script . Today, a Sunbelt email touting an upcoming "new technology breakthrough" arrived - I was happy with the old technology, when it worked..
