A comment on the question "Merge Suggestions" in Skribit:
Thanks, Paul. I hope you guys can fix it soon. – Patrix, on August 26, 2009 00:36

Merge SuggestionsHow to merge two suggestions? I received two suggestions which are similar but I don't want to lose the votes on either one by deleting one.

Paul,
I'm using Win XP/ Firefox. The last add-on I added was XMarks. I'm aware of the memory leaks problem in FF and restart my browser almost every day; sometimes even 2-3 times a day.
I removed the suggestions tab code and the scrolling speed was back to normal so I'm assuming it is indeed making it slow.

suggestions tab makes site slow?Is it just me or does adding the Suggestions Tab (a great feature, BTW), make a site significantly slower? I notice that scrolling up and down my site (DesiPundit) is not as smooth as it was before.
Or is it something else about the site that is causing the delay although I noticed the change only after I added the Suggestions Tab code.

Stammy, Nope. I'm still seeing the message. It is on DesiPundit (below the search box in the sidebar)

heavy load issues?Ever since I've installed Skribit on one of my blog, DesiPundit I've been getting this message at the top of the widget - "Skribit seems to be experiencing heavy loads. Hang on.. :)" It displays the text box, suggests and everything but still displays that ugly message in bright red. Never have I not seen the message. It works just fine on my other blog, www.ipatrix.com.
Any idea?
A comment on the question "Mark all as read in PR filtered items.." in PostRank:
The toggling feature between levels and numeric values is convenient but then again, when I enter 4 it shows me posts >= 4. I wish we could specify a range (3-5) or even something like < 4 or >6. I don't think that would hijack the Mark as Read button. It is something I've been suggesting to Google for months (including 'Mark everything older than 1/4/7 days as Read) . But I would prefer AideRSS filtering since I wouldn't lose significantly imp.posts even if they are more than a week old. – Patrix, on March 30, 2009 20:04

Melaine, gotcha! But looking at the filtering again, I see that AideRSS uses culmulative ranking i.e. Good posts include posts that are marked Best and Great. Wouldn't it be better if you specify a rank to filter them? For e.g. 3.1 - 4.9 = Good, 5 - 7 = Best, and > 7 = Great. Currently (my guess), it seems that > 4 = Good, > 5 = Best, and > 7 = Great. So if I want to mark all Good posts as read while keeping Best and Great posts unread, I can't do that. – Patrix, on March 30, 2009 19:48
