The widget gathers your interests based on the pages that you've visited that are Sal.utation enabled. I'm assuming that you probably saw it on the Particls website - a site mainly written by Chris Saad, and therefore showing his interests! As Sal.utation becomes available on more sites, your attention profile will begin to adapt to you more personally.

Can you provide some more details on what issues you're having with the wordpress plugin? I visited your site, and I couldn't actually see it on it.
