Since I reported this problem (11months ago) and then solved it by removing the batteries, the computer has worked without a problem. Actually worked extremely well, I posted my problem for help and later reported how I solved same for the help of others. I am very happy with my HP purchase and don't understand the negativity of some people. I don't agree with some comments that just seem to vent their spleen about computers and HP. I researched this problem, one person stated to remove the computer from external power source and then remove the battery and leave the battery out for at least half an hour, something about residual voltage? I did then, leaving it out for one hour and replacing the battery. After replacing the battery the computer started without a problem. I hope this helps others. Paul.
