I found the LG hidden menu access procedure on-line. I can now get into two different menus that are normally hidden.

One has a 2-Hour Power option (that was set to On, I set it to Off) and the other has a Power Status Option with over a hundred suboptions.

Which options could be the one causing my problems?

    Thanks

We don't have the Monitor Control installed (although we could the LGs are supposed to have serial ports).

The PCs stay on all the time (altough they restart every morning at 6:30 am, which was a something I tried to try to fix the problem).

I use the internal timer on the LGs menu to set on time to 6:30 am and off at 11:59 pm (that all seems to work correctly).

But during the day, the screens will just go black. I've caught some of them with the No Signal display, but others will be playing and then a few minutes later (about 5 min), I come back by and they're black.

    No signal on Carousel displays
We have a Carousel Enterprise server and 3 220 Solo hooked to 52" and 42" LG LCDs. Everything works correctly, but at random periods the TVs will go into power standby. When you turn them back on, Carousel starts play as it should.

I've checked all the settings on the TV (no sleep) and on the Solo (no screen blanker or powersave).

I've caught the TVs every so often with a "no signal" display. If you power down the display and back on, everything immediately begins playing as it should.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Closed Captioning for cable tv via Carousel
We have a Carousel 5.2.6 Enterprise server linked to 3 Solos with the optional TVI (television input) which is hooked to our campus' analog cable TV.

I'm getting the cable channels and can display them in a zone.

    The question:

We have need for closed captioning on some displays. Is there any method to do that?

Would I need some software on the Solo to catch the input from TVI and convert the closed captioning to something that could display?

    Thanks

Installing Carousel Enterprise with a remote SQL Server?
Trying to install Carousel Enterprise/FrontDoor utilizing a remote SQL 2005 server. Is it possible?

We have an existing SQL 2005 x64 Standard, two node cluster. I've setup another Windows 2003 R2 server with SQL Native Client. The client can connect to the database server.

When I run the FrontDoor setup, it reports that it cannot find the server, but it never asks for the connection alias name. Is there anyway to point the install to the alias?

    Thanks
