My 2006 Civic was diagnosed with a cracked block yesterday. The car has 66K miles and has been meticiously maintained by my Honda dealer. The crack was discovered when I took the car in for a yearly safety inspection. Other than literally two drops of antifreeze on the garage floor, there was no warning and no over heating. My dealership is replacing the engine and providing me with a new Accord for transportation for $100.00! If you have properly maintained your car and your dealer has the service record, you shouldn't have a problem with Honda replacing the engine at a nominal cost.
