Clearly the head of this company doesn't care about his customers because he has yet to even make a statement.
Then you have his minion Ash who inflicts his opinion insulting customers because they way they want to engage their social networks.
Get a clue guys, you make a tool....not everyone is gonna use it how you saw it being used or how you intended. But thats not your job to worry about, your job is to build the best tool possible. Clearly by including Ping.fm support into your tools (iphone and desktop) will keep people buying and recommending your tool because its the best on the market.
You have lost focus, and as of today I am deleting all your tools from my iphones and macs. I will not install them again until I see in the release notes that Ping.fm support has been added.
You can also tell you that when people ask me what tool i recommend, yours will not be included.

Regarding coding I guess I don't see why it would be so hard. it can be basic in the sense if its new message you have the option to use ping.fm, if not go through twitter as normal. – peedy, on August 13, 2009 17:17

I would really like to know how you came to the conclusion that Ping.fm is waning in popularity. If anything this might be because of Hellotxt making some traction in the space. I am sure that Ping.fm would tell you a different story than you assumed position. Its not about popularity, its about giving users (potentially paying ones if they buy tweetie) what they want. Personally I know many people that won't even bother with a social media application if it doesn't have Ping.fm or Hellotxt integration. Your goal is to have your software used by as many as possible right?
I think you have to decide is tweetie a twitter app (which could be gone tomorrow, or replaced by something else, who knows) or is it a social media application that happens to work really well with twitter but also supports posting to other services. Lastly, I am less likely to use tweetie in any serious manner without this support. – peedy, on August 13, 2009 16:54

I don't use Textmate. I mainly use Expandrive to an alternative to using cyberduck to transfer files and folders to my websites. So I use it in a very general sense and a variety of jobs. For code I usually use Dreamweaver which has its own connection component however there are times I will connect with expandrive and go edit something with TextWrangler, etc. – peedy, on May 07, 2009 15:18

F5 using PathFinder, with 1.3.4 when creating a folder or transferring files they showed up immediately, not so with 2.0.1 – peedy, on May 06, 2009 19:39

I haven't experienced beachballs since 2.0.1 but i think its safe to say that while a 2.0 feature of being faster is clearly untrue. – peedy, on May 06, 2009 05:23

I don't think it has anything to do with the server at all. Otherwise why would 1.3.4 work just fine? In fact they both rely on MacFuse so its not a problem with fuse either. So its something specific in the Expandrive 2.0 code changes apparently. I am gonna install it on my other mac and see how it does on there.
