A comment on the question "where's the innovation with otherinbox.com?" in OtherInbox:

i agree on religious focus for a core (email) product that you expect users to rely on. i hadn't thought of the delegate functionality but see how it can be useful.

i think the folder merge (groups, smart folders, etc) would be a great addon.

what's going on with OIB? we don't seem to see or hear of much in terms of new developments. are the team taking a skunkworks model and keeping it quiet? users would like to hear where this product is going and what the future plans are along with a timeline.

some things i have felt lacking:
- search entire account as well as individual mailboxes.
- group multiple mailboxes (incoming addresses) into one mailbox.
- better IMAP support. i currently have trouble deleting emails using IMAP on my iphone and keep getting errors. reading is better.

these are just some of the thoughts and it would be good if the team addressed them on a regular unsolicited basis. things seems awfully quiet.

i figured the same as well. what i have done is kept my journler data intact and imported my mostly text entries into evernote as well and in those specific notes that have attachments or extra non-text data i would spotlight the journler entry to find it.

so far this has worked ok but i don't deny that i would like a much more integrated import.

i hear you and i actually just went back after reading your comment to recall the text styling options that are part of the tab cycle: you're right, they are annoying.

i am happy about one thing that seems to have been 'fixed' to its better prior behavior and that is tabbing to the 'notebook' dropdown and then selecting one with the arrow down or keyboard first letter. this stopped working for a while but now is nicely working. i do use it often.

also note that you can assign keyboard shortcuts to the 'notebook' option in case there are a couple that you use frequently but for this to work you need to make sure that the options are visible.
