A comment on the question "Debian/Ubuntu Package Repositories?" in Songbird:
I admit, that would be pretty great. But I doubt that's what the devs are going for... – kidko, on September 16, 2008 01:10

I have Intrepid Ibex Alpha 4 on my computer, and I just installed the latest Alpha of Pulse Audio, which is just asking for something to be broken, I wasn't disappointed, it is broken. Songbird is the only audio app I can get working on it. Everything else either crashes or just sits there doing nothing. Songbird hawever fires up and plays Great!-

Ok, now im workin on a fresh OS X install and everything seems to have been remedied! I also installed "forklift" right off the bat, so from now on when i delete a progrm it will be GONE, without any pesky traces left behind.
Thank you again for the quick help...keep working to make Songbird the best solution out there!

Yo Boris,
I deleted the files in question, but I don't know jack about Terminal (OSX n00b) so I just navigated the folders and deleted all entries pertaining to songbird...I also ran the commands (copy & paste) in Terminal just incase.
Anyway I'm going to reinstall and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again...keep up the good work.

DJ Perception,
Your description doesn't sound good.
I run Songbird 0.7.0 on Mac 10.5.4 i386 and it seems pretty stable.
How did you upgrade from 0.6.1 to 0.7.0?
Where did you download 0.7.0 from?
Did you delete your old profile?
I suggest you do, then run the application again to create a new profile.
Beware: It will delete your custom playlists, add-ons installed, files from the library.
You will need to re-scan your data to the library again.
For Max, run in a terminal:
rm -Rf ~/Library/Caches/Songbird2
rm -Rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Songbird2
rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/org.songbirdnest.songbird.plist

Songbird .7 Help!! lots of errors???Hello all, let me say I LOVE songbird .6. It was one of the greatest things about my ubuntu machine.
But songbird .7 has some Major bugs.
-> when I try to open a song I just downloaded from amazon it opens, But it doesn't play or load meta data.
->there is lots of weirdness in playing songs, like it says it is playing one song but really playing a different one.
->some songs won't even play at all.
If there is something I am doing wrong, Please let me know. I really want songbird to work.
Btw all my music in songbird are mp3.

No currently, there is nothing to change manually volume for each songs.
You can try to egalize volume of your songs with softwares like mp3gain :
