Can you check https://twitterfeed.com/reminder, to make sure you haven't inadvertently set up feeds to your twitter account using more than one OpenID? If this shows more than one OpenID URL, you should be able to log in as each, and turn on off them off. – Mario Menti, on September 21, 2008 23:14

If you're doing your own posting to twitter using the API (i.e not using twitterfeed itself), then you should discuss issues at this group: http://groups.google.com/group/twitte... – Mario Menti, on May 13, 2008 18:02

I'm posting to this url:
http://twitter.com/statuses/update.xml
using http post. I wrote a short ColdFusion script that grabs content from my RSS feeds and posts them to the twitter url above.
All of my posts are duplicated, weather I include a url or not. Is there another url I should be using to post from my script?

Hi, I've taken a look, but can't seem to see a reason for this. One thing I noticed is that twurl.nl creates a new short URL every time it's called with the same URL to shorten, so the check that is in place at twitterfeed (it compares the short URL to previous ones in your account) won't work with twurl (tinyurl appears to create the same shortened URL if called multiple times with the same URL, so it works in these cases).
However, this doesn't explain why the items were posted more than once, since the publish date should handle that (the above check would only be useful if for some reason items are re-published to a feed, with updated publish dates, and we want to avoid posting them again). I manually tried to replicate the double post, but can't seem to get it to do it. Could you see if this happens consistently, or was a one-off issue (if you like, post to a different account if you want to avoid the risk of double posts to your main twitter account)? If it happens again the next time you post, let me know and I'll try to dig a bit deeper.
Sorry for the inconvenience...

hello there,
i am a little clueless, our feed http://beta.zero-inch.com/feed?flavou... gets posted 2x times to twitter and i dono why.
i do tripple checked, there's only one active feed for the zero_inch twitter account on twitterfeed.
it would be great to use twitterfeed, it is exactly what we need and like, but double postings are kinda unfunky (and linkless postings are kinda useless for us).
any ideas how to get twitterfeed to omly post one psoting per RSS entry?
thanks and best from berlin!-
