Thanks for your help. I do have McAfee running, but the Photosynth app has full access enabled through the firewall. As you can imagine, I'm not so eager to run Photosynth that I want to disable the firewall completely or disconnect from my router...
FF3 is my default browser. Synther still dead-ending, even after clearing cookies and cache and uninstalling and reinstalling Photosynth.
Maybe Google Chrome will work?

Hi Nathanael - thanks for the suggestion. Still doesn't work. Using the link takes me back to the page where the top right corner says "peterkim's synths | Sign Out | [search box]" and the "Create Your Synth/Explore Synths/About Photosynth" is at bottom.
So I think I've got a Photosynth account, right? But when I click on Create Your Synth, I go to the "Ready To Make Your Own Synth?" and clicking on "Create a synth" there gets me back to the pop-up window with the dead end "Sign In" link.

pete asked a question in Microsoft Live Labs on September 01, 2008 01:59:
can't sign in - refuses to get past the "sign in" hyperlinkI have created a Msft Live ID, but can't sign in to Photosynth. I'm on XP, Firefox 3. When I click "Create a Synth," a small window pops up titled "Photosynth 2.0.1403.6." in the upper right of the window, a message says "Please sign in to synth your photos." Sign in is a hyperlink; whenever I click it, it briefly flashes "sigining in" and goes right back to "Please sign in to synth your photos."
What's the deal?
