Hi,

Yes you can add music, videos etc, whatever you like, providing it is in accordance with our terms and conditions. There is an existing You Tube template page that you can use from the Members Area (select from the page layout drop down list at the top of the page).

Alternatively, you can insert the necessary code from any page editor by clicking in the 'View/edit Source' button on the editing menu, this is the icon that looks like this <>.

Then copy and paste the code in the new window that will open up and save the page and the music/video should be on your page. Any problems let me know.

Hi rocko,

Adding a link is easy.

You need to highlight the text that you want people to click on to go to your linked page, then click on the 'hyperlink' icon on the editor (highlighted in yellow on the image below):



Use the Webpage dialog box to define the source (normally http://), put in the URL next to it, your destination page, plus decide whether it will open up a new window, and even give the link a name.

Click the Insert button when you are done and then remeber to save your page changes.

Hi Jane,

The home page is naturally always the first page, so you can't change that. You can however change the order of the other pages that you create by first logging into the Members Area: http://www.ezweb123.com/members

Then on the left hand navigation, click on 'manage' under 'my pages'. This then takes you to a list of your pages that you have created. You will note the column that says 'Display Order'.

You can change the numbers in the box against each page to decide where you want to place a particular page in relation to other pages. This is based on the highest number being at the top. So, the lowest number will be against the last page in your navigation list.

If you want to say move a page down, then you need to change the number in the box next to it so it is a lower number than the number of the page that you wish to place under it.

See the image below, where you will note that the numbers are in order of highest first.

For example, if you wanted to move the family & friends page above the about me page, you would need to enter a higher number against the family & friends page (for example 6). Then click 'change' next to the family & friends page and it will move it above the about me page in the navigation list as it now has a higher number against it than the about page.

You can highlight text and then insert a hyperlink to another web site or bookmark.

Simply highlight the text that you want to add a hyperlink to and then by clicking on the 'Hyperlink' icon on the edit menu, enter the hyperlink details in the Hyperlink Dialog window that opens up (see below):



Once you have completed the details in the dialog box, hit the 'insert' button at the bottom of the dialog window and the hyperlink will be inserted.

Remember to save changes to the page once you are done.

Using tables is a great way to structure a web page and makes it easier to insert images and text.

There are however pre-loaded table layouts that you can already choose from in the page layouts menu, which makes it much easier for you:

The tables facility on the editor (shown below and highlighted) is fairly advanced and does take a bit of practice. Therefore, In this section, I will cover inserting a new table only.



First of all there are two separate tables icons to use. The first is the 'Insert Table' icon:



The second is the edit table icon, but this is covered in a separate topic.

First, click on the web page window where you want to insert a table. Then click on the 'insert table' icon and separate window will open up:



This window allows you to select how many columns and how many rows you want in your table. Place your cursor over the window and the columns and rows will turn blue. Select how many columns/rows you want then left click. The table should be inserted into your page.

If not try again, remembering to firstly click on the web page where you want the table to be inserted and secondly ensuring that once you have selected the columns and rows you select the left mouse button when these are highlighted blue.

The table should be inserted, but any problems, simply reply to this topic and I/we will help you out.

Adding images to a web page:

1. Log into the Members area: http://www.ezweb123.com/members
2. Select from the left hand menu which page you would like to add an image/s to - say the home page, hit 'manage' below the home page heading.
3. This then takes you to the editor for that page.
4. Once the editor has loaded, you will see a number of icons on the menu above the editing window. The image uploader icon is highlighted on the screenshot image (below).



5. Click on the window where you would like to insert an image.
6. Click on the image uploader icon and a separate window will open that allows you to select and upload an image to where you placed your cursor. See the screenshot image (below). The browse, upload image and insert buttons have been highlighted.
7. Browse for the image that you want to upload from your computer. Then click 'upload Image'. It may take a second. Then hit the 'Insert' button and the image you have uploaded should be inserted into your web page.
8. You can then adjust the dimensions of the image, by dragging it and also move it around.
