Pete Ashton replied on December 27, 2008 22:43 to the question "Filters for Twitter's Facebook App" in Twitter:
Another call for filtering on the Facebook app. I used Twittersync and the filtering there helped keep my status updates making sense. At the very least it'd be good to blank ALL tweets with "@" in them, not just replies. Or to prepend imported Tweets with "is Twittering" or something
A bit of REGEX goes a long way.-

Pete Ashton marked one of Dan Lane's replies in Ping.fm as useful. Dan Lane replied to the idea "How about a Mac OS X Dashboard widget?". Pete Ashton and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
peteashton shared an idea in Birmingham City Council on May 08, 2008 18:40:
Pedestrian crossings on Poplar Rd roundabout, Kings HeathThe roundabout joining Poplar, Valentine, School, Cambridge and Springfield roads has traffic issues. During rush hour and school run times it gets very busy and can be dangerous for pedestrians, not to mention school children from Kings Heath Primary. It's a busy pedestrian route linking the residential area of south Moseley with Kings Heath High Street and buses into town.
My idea is to paint pedestrian crossings across each road as it enters the roundabout giving pedestrians default right of way as they around. This would slow traffic down and make the route safer.-

A comment on the question "Is @panopticons abusing the Terms of Service" in Twitter:
This isn't about privacy. I want my Twitter stream to be public. That's what makes it so much more interesting that IM, etc. The concern is that not being able to block people for Track makes the service less useful.
If people want to follow me for whatever reason or to take and republish my tweets then that's fine by me. But I want the option to stop that polluting my experience of Twitter. – peteashton, on May 04, 2008 22:44
A comment on the question "Is @panopticons abusing the Terms of Service" in Twitter:
I have to say this doesn't relate to my experience of Twitter, but then I don't follow any Alisters or whathaveyou. I follow people I know in my local area so I can meet them for coffee or whathaveyou.
I suspect your pyramid notion of Twitter is very much a minority usage. – peteashton, on May 04, 2008 20:49-
