I have the same problem. I have had an HP B1200 then bought an HP DV6. Since I have this computer, firefox disconnects regularly. All of a sudden pages will just not download. When I try to close the program or kill the process, firefox will just not restart because a process hangs on in the task processes and cannot get rid of. I am thinking maybe reverting back to IE or maybe trying chromes, which would be a pity because firefox has so many usefull add-ins.
