Thanks Adrian, that explains it. The video I'm using has a brief fade in from a dark background...so that it what is showing up in the player, just the background. i may contact support to request a change just for this one video....

How can I get an image to show in the player upon initial page load.(before it's played). Right now it's just a black background in the frame...not very enticing to get someone to play it!

A key part of the original question was the ability to apply settings per video...not be able to do this seems quite limiting.
