Peter F. replied on November 18, 2009 19:42 to the question "Need invoice for billing backup" in drop.io:
Hey there,
Users should get an e-mailed invoice to the e-mail address associated with their account for each billing. We don't currently have the feature built that would allow you to print prior invoices but this is definitely something we want to integrate very soon.
If you didn't receive the e-mail, it's always a good idea to check your spam folder. Since our top-level domain is .io, this sometimes gets unnecessarily flagged as spam.
If it's not their, please forward us the original e-mail you should have received when you purchased the account, or if you don't have that, your username.
All the best,
Peter F.

Peter F. replied on November 18, 2009 17:53 to the question "Upload Widget? Does it work? (not for me)" in drop.io:
Hey Dean,
Are you trying to add the drop.io Upload Widget into their raw HTML editor? If that's the case and it's getting stripped or altered, it has something to do with that editor. We've tested the widget just to make sure that everything is working like it should and it seems to be fine.
Can you get back to us and let us know?
Thanks!

Hey Steve/Cam/Et al.,
We've been looking into this since last night. We are seeing that videos aren't converting at a rate that's higher than normal so we're going over the logs and will push a fix up to drop.io as soon as possible.
I'd like to apologize for the trouble... converting media so it can be easily shared is what we do and for the most part very well. This is priority #1 for our team right now.
When the fix is up, I'll repost to this and the other questions/problems on Getsatisfaction.
Thanks for your patience,
Peter F.

Peter F. replied on November 12, 2009 23:24 to the question "Why so anonymous?" in drop.io:
Hey Mitchell,
No, this is one of the core aspects of our simple, private sharing model. Visitors to drops can sign their comments, if that's permitted by the drop's creator but since there are no accounts at drop.io, there's no way to establish identity. Users can limit access to your drop with a guest password, Facebook Friend Lock feature (http://drop.io/file/fbconnectlock), or by setting up a Paywall on a drop.
I hope this clears things up.
Best,

Peter F. replied on November 03, 2009 16:46 to the question "Video Resolution" in drop.io:
Hey Beth,
We convert the videos to flash so that they can be viewed on anyone's computer. This means that we have to compress it a little bit but provided you're using a fairly high quality original, the end result shouldn't be too bad. Also, that file is always available for download in its original, unaltered state.
Best,

Peter F. replied on November 03, 2009 16:37 to the question "Miscellaneous drop page issues" in drop.io:
Hey Starbuck,
We've made some improvements to tighten up the real-time aspects of drop behavior so those issues should be fine now. The chat layer is present on all drop pages and can't be disabled. You can disable guests' ability to chat, however, from the drop's admin options.
About the chat message, we didn't include every event in an attempt to keep it a little less cluttered.

Peter F. replied on November 03, 2009 16:21 to the question "Why won't my drop.io voicemails post to my Facebook news feed?" in drop.io:
Hey Jake,
We've taken a look at the FB output to news feed and status message and they both look like they're working. Is this happening for any other of your drops?
About iTunes, no, you would have to add it to the iTunes store podcast directory manually. There's a pretty easy write up here: http://www.ehow.com/how_2027326_publi...
