Hi Sydney,
For most .ppt and .pptx files, our conversion process works like a champ. There could potentially be something with the file itself that is causing the issue or it may have been a temporary hiccup with the process. Would it be possible to have you delete those presentation files, upload them again and see if that solves the issue?
If it doesn't, can you then e-mail us (contact@dropio.com) with the name of your drop so we can take a look?
Thanks!

Hi icefyre,
A 15MB presentation (I'm assuming it's a .ppt) should convert without a problem. It's possible that there's something about the file itself that might be corrupt or causing the conversion process to break. Have you tried deleting it from you drop and giving it another shot?
Best,

Hey Matt,
The aspect ratio should be getting detected and factored into the conversion. Can you e-mail us with the name of your drop so we can take a look?

Peter F. replied on December 02, 2009 21:59 to the question "there is a limit in the size of a pdf that can be coverted?" in drop.io:
Hey mikroastos,
We've increased the time-out that was built into the document conversion process so you shouldn't experience a "drop.io is preparing this file" issue like this anymore. It will convert or indicate that it was not able to convert.
Above 50 MB or so is where things get tricky for document conversion. We've integrated Scribd.com's technology to handle the task of conversion and this is about the upper limit we've noticed. That being said, it is by no means a hard limit and is subject to outside factors like connection speed, integrity, etc.
Best,

Hey Chris,
Very strange behavior... can you send me the name of the drop with files in in? You can post it here if you're comfortable doing that too.

Peter F. replied on December 02, 2009 00:04 to the question "Can I retrieve files after my drop account has been cancelled?" in drop.io:
Hey Ryan,
Can you clarify, are you talking about deactivating a drop.io Manager account or deleting an individual drop? For the Manager account, if you deactivate, you can come back and your account will remain for up to six weeks. You just need to get in touch with us (contact@dropio.com) so we can reactivate your account again.
For the individual drop, once it's been deleted the content is deleted as well and cannot be recovered.
I hope this answers your question.
Best,

That is definitely the way things are supposed to go... very, very sorry for the trouble. Can you provide me with some details so we can get started looking into exactly what's going?

Peter F. replied on December 01, 2009 23:16 to the question "Restrict embedding/sharing/subscribing" in drop.io:
Hey Anthony,
This actually involves a pretty large redesign of our permissions system. Another big project has come up (very close to release... stay tuned) but as soon as possible this loop is going to be closed.
Sorry for the delay. This has been on our radar... will be remedied soon.
Best,
