I'd also like to add my concern about the missing update function. Flickr offers it on the photo detail page (bottom right column). While one might think that that leads to abuse (people commenting on an item that is possibly not what they commented on any more), I don't think web apps need to 'play judge'. If the flickr/yahoo can take a hands-off approach to what a user does with his/her content, so can issuu. Why not offer the update function as a switch on-switch off feature for publishers, coupled with special Terms and Conditions they have to agree to. That way issuu can distinguish users that treat their publications like websites or blogs from those that treat them like classic, published magazines, maybe even by identifying them to readers with a little icon or such. There are options allowing for peaceful coexistence of many types of publishers without having to shove everyone into the same presumably abuse-free but seemingly old-fashioned one-size-fits-all cage.

Why does Apture change the formating of links to the standard blue/underlined and not keep the link style specified in the site's stylesheetHi Apture,
thanks for the great service! Just have one quick question: where can I change the style of an Apture link? The links on my site are not blue and underlined, so the link formatting that Aperture adds looks kind of ugly. Why is Apture changing my link style? (I've added the link directly to a basic HTML page that links to an external stylesheet).
Thanks!

Petra Quilitz asked a question in Participatory Culture Foundation (Miro) on February 17, 2009 01:36:
where are the channelsHello Miro, I just downloaded Miro2.0.1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you have a location detection that automatically gives all people who download outside of the US a version of Miro without the Channel guide? If so, please specify that somewhere on the site, since this version I have now looks quite different than the one introduced in the "using Miro" intro video. I was hoping of course, to see some of the hulu videos through Miro, but I guess they sealed off any access to their content completely to anyone outside of the US. Bummer. Is there a way you could collect email addresses from people currently ouside the US, to notify them when they can download and use the "original" Miro, instead of "Miro light"? Thanks!
