Petri Sirkkala replied on October 03, 2009 20:12 to the problem "Mac Spotify self-update notified by Keychain?" in Spotify:
I see no reason to give Spotify the write access to /Applications folder. As such the app should not be able to change itself or any other application there. So either play by the book, or live in a sandbox.
There is no need to hide the updates. It is also acceptable that Spotify will not connect until updated, as the servers might require latest clients.
Anyhow the Spotify will now be inside a sandbox and any suspicious action will be monitored.
If Spotify trespasses my home I will not keep paying 9.99 per month. Actually it is criminal (at least in Finland) to push software to machines without users consent.

Petri Sirkkala reported a problem in Adobe on January 24, 2009 13:33:
Why doesn't Flash support international characters on Linux?I would like to bring attention to the fact that Flash Plugin on Linux does not support international characters properly. See this bug report in Adobe Bugs: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-40
I hope that some day we non-english speaking users can enter and edit our own language text on Flash enabled web sites too.
Even simple iso-latin-1 characters enter incorrectly.
The bug has been assigned to Edwin Wong for a long time now.
