Phae reported a problem in Gowalla on November 06, 2009 12:36:
Adding friends from twitter appears to be brokenVia the iPhone app, I tried to add some friends via twitter (I'm new, so I had none in the first place). About a dozen or so people came up and I added all of them. Since then, my account has shown that I have no friends and if I try to add any again via the web interface or iPhone to add from twitter, no people are shown that way either.-

We have the same problem in London. Since it's one of the newer cities to be added - it's to be expected that people are hitting a lot of points for adding and checking into new places - but there's some users consistently getting ludicrously high top scores (altho this week it seems a bit more sensible - I suppose people get bored when there's not a lot of incentive for being top-dog). That's why the friends-scores shine through as being more interesting/important.-

Ok, I'll look out for it. Last time I found this bug it was probably about 2 weeks ago now - but I was wanting to add a venue that was the same name as another, but in a different location. It just assumed I wanted the one in the wrong end of town. Will try it again soon and hopefully that'll work now too. Thanks. :)

Did this get resolved yet? It seems to have stagnated for a month, but I'm still having this problem all the time (mostly because a lot of London isn't mapped in yet) – Phae, on October 23, 2009 16:10-

Hey Rob,
Yeah, Hammersmith is just down the road so that's a reasonable area for it to stick it in. I thought the area might come out as White City, or more likely, Shepherds Bush. Barking is totally wrong though.
That postcode is right, though so FS should get it correct from that alone (which it didn't seem to - I took out everything except the postcode and it got lost). It's a bit odd.-

Address set incorrectlyHello,
This venue I added, which is not in Barking, keeps being listed as in Barking no matter what information I give it. http://foursquare.com/venue/154634
Can this be corrected?

Hi guys,
I was playing around with adding some old trips mostly to make my map look cooler (easily pleased) last night and I've noticed a few things:
- Some of my old trips didn't start and end in my current home city (London). It makes them less accurate, so you'd need a way to specify a different start/end location. It does also make me wonder how dopplr would handle me moving house!
- My most citites "has visited 8 cities (most often Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Helston, Brighton and Austin)" are wrong. I most often visit my parents (Helston). Is it just a random list of places?
- My public map hasn't updated with the old trips.
- My public profile still states "over 40 days (since August 25th 2007)" - Does this mean you're only ever going to count from my join date? My first trip is in actual fact now in 2001.
- Are my last points just some syncing up lag? If so, that's fine :)
