I had this same problem with Vipre. The company, Sunbelt Software, is aware of the problem and will have it resolved shortly. In the meantime, you can simply set Vipre to allow xul.dll to run. From the main console pick the Manage tab then choose "View allowed items" then use the Add button to add xul.dll to the allowed items list. If Vipre has actually removed xul.dll you can simply reinstall Firefox. It only takes a few moments and then Firefox should run fine. When Sunbelt gets the problem fixed then you can always remove xul.dll from the allowed items.
