I was having a similar issue and was just able to sort it out. In Safari 3 I had a custom next/previous tab shortcut set up in system preferences and after updating to Safari 4 they didn't show up even though they did in Safari. I ended up adding the old shortcut combos to system preferences then removing them. This did the trick.

I was wondering the same thing and just thought I'd try going to reddit.com/saved when I was logged in and lo and behold, it worked! I also just figured out you can also get there by clicking on the "More" tab and going to "saved".
