@ waffles -- It's much worse than that. They've actively refused to provide an update on the status page, have neglected to give feedback on these forums, and clearly are unprepared to handle problems. Really. If you need to charge for a service like this to give it enough support, offer it. People would probably pay for something that works.
It looks like a bunch of open-source developers working on something. Just drop IM support entirely and point people to other services which can augment this feature.

So, is there a reason why nothing is happening with this? Seriously, either get it fixed or just say that you won't be offering IM support. Either way, it should be that hard.
Twitter, you've had about 2 months. If a girl left me hanging like this for 2 months I would leave her without a second thought. If a contractor left a job unfinished for 2 months I would start to file a lawsuit.
I mean, you make the lines at the DMV look like the self checkout at Lowe's.
What's the deal? Is this the kind of service that I can expect from anything from y'all? Yes, you're quick at getting the whales to go away. But you've also set a precedent for being extremely slow at something.
Get your act together.

I have read a lot of posts/comments about this issue. As a new user and many others are new as well.
Sure they have updated/changed the /devices page, but it doesn't say at the top "IM services down" or something, because when you click on the FAQ/Help to setup IM there are instructions on how to do this but it doesn't say that the IM service is down nor does it say on the front page of my updates.
I see the last time any update was made was nearly 2 weeks ago and it has been down over a month now? Twitter is ok... its not the best of the best I've seen even for free but I can't complain its free.

This has yet to happen, and I'm a new user... no wonder. – mynetdude, on July 13, 2008 15:51

Blogger doesn't actually allow you to directly post photos using their API. There are some workarounds that are possible, but because they aren't officially supported we have to think twice about how we're going to implement this feature.
Tumblr does allow a caption to be posted with a photo - at the moment we use what's in the Title field of the LifeCast event. Tumblr blogs are currently the only ones we support for posting photos.

We don't actually support posting photos to Blogger at the moment (leastways, their' API doesn't allow it). We're looking into ways to support this though.
What's strange is that you shouldn't even see the option to post a photo to your Blogger account - the post button should be disabled. If you're seeing the action buttons appearing for photos for a Blogger blog, please tell us how you've got things configured, and if possible send us some screenshots
(hint: you can take a screenshot in iPhone by holding down the Lock and Home buttons at the same time - the screenshot will be saved to your camera roll on the phone).
