Which other problems has flock with GMail? – Philipp Grunwald, on October 12, 2009 19:51
A comment on the question "Incoming e-mail highlight notification inconsistent?" in Flock:
Yes this is possible and then it seems to work (better).
Yet I won't give my word for it that it is only OtherInbox' fault.
What do you assume from the developers side? – Philipp Grunwald, on October 12, 2009 19:50-

A comment on the problem "No log-in or sign-up link on GS homepage for new users." in Get Satisfaction:
Hm, I don't know if we're talking about the same. "back in links"?? What I mean is, just put a damn button (linked) and/or a hyperlink to the "old" GS "homepage" on the new homepage! :D So that one (also as a company rep., who isn't an employee & customer at the same time?! :)) can see what is currently going on instead of only having to rely on a "everything is great" marketing story (which I know is true, but not everyone does this!) which might not convince everyone!! – Philipp Grunwald, on September 29, 2009 19:07

Btw: It is expected from me, that your software is free, easy to download, adware and spyware free. You can note that somewhere altogether, but more important would be the value for me on top of stuff I (can) use already! :)
E.g. maybe: "How is the ICQ client different?"... And so on.
What is e.g. also missing, do you support x64 and Windows 7 systems?
A lot of gamers already use Windows 7, as they have access to MSDN(AA)!
*edit* I also now read, that your client is (also?) available on Adobe Air, why is that shown nowhere? For me this is a good and important hint, especially because Adobe Air apps tend to use not that many ressources! :)
Some demo videos (hosted on Vimeo ;)) would help tremendously. :-)

How is raptr different? What are its advantages?Hi there,
I recently installed a lot of gaming and gaming chat clients, I have STEAM here and Xfire.
And I just found you, yet don't understand your concept! What is your value for me?
Why should I use you on top of or instead of e.g. Xfire?
Will you not just hog my ressources for nothing? ;)
I like to keep it simple and clean, I do not game very often and I do not have a lot of gaming friends.
I also have more than enough facebook, ICQ etc. clients, so the question is:
(Why) Do I need raptr then?
Thanks for your help in advance!
Kind regards
PS: Sure a good question for the FAQ and for potential homepage rewording action.

If I get it right, even a business prospect can't access GetSatisfaction easily, I mean they can't just "test-drive" / quickly check out your site without searching for a specific company! I bet this is not what you intended! I'd change it also to not create hesitation with your leads! I'd change that asap, where is the problem to add a button linking to the site and a link in the header? – Philipp Grunwald, on September 29, 2009 18:24-

Why can't I make my favorites private??Hi there,
why is there for every stuff an option, but not for the content I viewed / bookmarked and especially favorited? The only (really hard to find) option is the "Which content would you like to display?" one, but it doesn't work!! It not only shows the last three (which could also be too much sometimes!), but you can also see all the older favs with one click more!
That is not respectful concerning my privacy!
Please change it!
Thanks.

There we goo:

The thing is, I don't know how that should help you, except for I proved it, duh! :P
But what I suspect is, that it shows that, when e-mails came in, but were put into a "folder", meaning got labeled and archived via a filter rule!
I say that, because I organize my GMail by filters especially via OtherInbox.
I think that is the hint you should go after! :)-

Hi Hoon,
I have to sadden you a little bit, because you know your filter doesn't filter every e-mail based on the end xyz! :D (facebook is a good example!) I'll post about it soon...
Concerning Mailboxes, yes, I know that. But 1. that takes too much time as said. So you need to add a way to make it quicker for one to toggle it.
Secondly, although this might be technically very difficult, there should be, as I said, a way of whitelisting on the basis of certain keywords / a topic name.
Another point, this MOVE/COPY thing (or in general every setting possible), put it on the actual mailbox site, so that one can organize several mailboxes on this one site! (https://my.otherinbox.com/mailboxes) I don't like it to have to do another click plus especially to have to go back and then make another click and so on, when I want to have changed the same setting in 2-n mailboxes! Please consider that.
Philipp Grunwald shared an idea in OtherInbox on September 11, 2009 06:41:
Offer (temporary) "VIP" whitelists - and make it quick to implementHi there,
what constantly enerves me with OtherInbox (which is mainly a fault of GMail) is that I often don't recognize the e-mails "from" / via OtherInbox in the folder. As proposed in the other thread, at first there needs to be a "non-standard" OtherInbox inbox name, but even more, you could increase your USP and value for the customer by easing the selection process (which boxbe does) of e-mails! So, somehow I'd recommend to take the features of Boxbe and use a similar system (except for this absolutely stupid "waiting list" they use). You're lucky, their features are not that game-changing (sometimes even contraproductive, s. w.-list) as yours are! :) What I would expect:
Offer an interface, in which one could quickly mark certain e-mails/topics (maybe even in GMail via a Greasemonkey or other script system) as VIP, meaning indeed to whitelist them, although OI might organize them otherwise! I name it "whitelist" because I recently used OpenDNS a lot and "played around" with the possibilities and saw the power! (and the flaws...)
The reason: As said, I miss important e-mails! Especially e-mails* that I need to read asap because they are out of a different time zone (USA indeed) and when I do not recognize and answer them promptly, it may take 12 hours or even more until I get a reply back, because "I was late"! ...this all is of course often only temporarily, so I not only want to implement it quickly, but also "deactivate" it again quickly.
* although automated because they are often forums posts or from GS, these mediums are naturally there for solving problems, so when I do have a problem / question, I need to have it solved as quick as possible!
Ok, so far this is only a rough draft, but I think you get my point! :)
Thanks for listening. Kind regards.
