hey, cool of you to pick this up from twitter :)
i'll have to try thunderbird 3. i'll try it now.
i was just getting frustrated because i imported all my google reader feeds and it seemed to import them all in separate folders and then i couldn't delete them by pushing the delete button and was having to delete them individually by right-click+delete, plus there wasn't a way to view all new items on a scrolling page like google reader. maybe i just need to get used to it. i was just frustrated. i don't think i'll be using it anyway for rss.
i like it as an email client.
thanks

why not have nudges generate an email to user being nudged? When you nudge someone and they're not actually online, it seems like the nudge just gets lost into nowhere. If a person is not on im or phone updates, I think it would be a good idea to have an email sent to notify of the nuge, just like facebook does with its "poke".
What do you think?

Link to Twitter website in twitter@twitter.com contact status message in Gmail chat?Just thought it might be helpful for people new to Twitter. I have a friend who seems to only use twitter through IM while he's in gmail. Having a link on the contact card in gchat would help him check the site more often

Hi John,
I'm pretty sure we're having the same problem.

Looks like maybe Vodafone is blocking our smss to the twitter number?

Ok, here's an update:
I played around a bit, sent "invite +6143....<blah> to twitter and found that it did actually send an invite to my phone. I tried "delete and restart" again and sent my number, but still no reply.
Then I remembered that I'd set my skype up to send the ID of my phone when sending sms from skype, so I thought that was worth a shot, so I sent the validation code to the twitter number through skype. Lo and behold a txt came through on my phone that the number had been verified... so I'm figuring that either Vodafone AU isn't delivering my txts or maybe it's not sending the right caller ID thing or something.
I am definitely receiving messages now, but looks like I can't send them... I found this thread... seems like the same problem http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter/to...
Maybe I'll contact Vodafone AU</blah>

no response from phone verification number? My username is "phocks" and I've been getting direct messages to my phone for quite a while until a few days ago, they stopped coming through.
After reading some advise already up on Satisfaction, I decided to try deleting my phone info and re-sending the verification code. I've now tried this twice, sending to the international number (which always used to work for me) +447624801423 but now I'm not getting any replies at all.
I have also checked my Vodafone AU call details and they have the txt messages showing up as being sent through.
Just wondering if twitter might be having some problems with the international number and if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks,
Josh

not getting tracked "overheard" tweets...every other word that i track seems to work fine, but i'm yet to receive a tracked message while tracking "overheard". seems strange because twitter says that it's the most tracked word. also at http://overheard.it/ there seems to be tweets coming up all the time
