Thank you Tom for your reply. I did as you said and sent a couple polite e-mails and today I received an e-mail saying my page is now back. Yes, it took plenty of e-mails and patience.

My co-writer and my publisher had me sign up on facebook in May to help promote my book and so I could talk to young people about my time in Auschwitz and other camps. A few weeks ago facebook disabled my page. They accused me of having a fake account. They said I had to send in a copy of my driver's license with all vital information blacked out. With the help of my co-writer I did that, but they haven't even had the decency to inform me that they received my e-mail. I am very upset and don't know what I can do now. I had 950 friends and many, people who wanted to learn more about the Holocaust and the camps, I was writing to on a weekly basis. At the very least I would like to get back on facebook to reassure them that I'm okay.
