embedded lyrics not showing up when added to ipod through songbirdLyrics embedded in mp3s will not show on my ipod classic when added through songbird, everything is fine when added through itunes!-

Nope, i used itunes..
is SB also storing coverart into the single mp3 then? I will check again tonight in case i did something wrong along the way...... -

yesterday i tried to modify some mp3 metadata (genre, artist, some song names etc) and I also downloaded cover art. I closed Songbird and moved the mp3 files onto my external HD and brought it to another computer and .. all metadata seemed to be as before my changes and cover art was not there.
So i wonder if songbird edits mp3 files directly or stores all these informations in some proprietory files...

there again! ipod 80gb classic, just reformatted, restored and mp3s added with itunes under vista.. everything working fine.
Now i switch to ubuntu, start songbird, it's set to manage manually (not sync), plug the ipod in and..
some artists not even shown, u2 only 3 songs out of 100, some artists' or albums names are mixed with podcasts titles..
i unplug the ipod, all the songs are there, some artwork is missing, some is in the wrong place, some others show podcasts or videos as cover art!!!
this is becoming very bad, as i really relied on songbird as a good ipod manager under ubuntu :(( -

yes.. if this can help, i uploaded the U2 using banshee, but only 2 songs displayed in songbird.
Unfortunately I noted this morning that lots of mp3s have disappeared - though i cant say when and what was the cause. so i reformatted everything and uploading mp3s using iTunes under Vista. Tell me if you want me to run some tests, now that i still have few mp3s :)) -

i am not interested in sync functions as i manage my ipod manually. I will read about the bug now. But what about the fact that songbird doesnt show all the songs on my ipod?
just as an example: i have stored all my U2 discography on the ipod, but now songbird displays only 2 songs out of hundreds... songs are still on the ipod though.

songs not detected and artwork screwedI installed songbird 1.1.1 and plugged in my ipod.. everything seemed fine but i noticed that not all songs were detected. I then unmounted the ipod to check if they had been deleted. They were there but most of the artworks have changed/disappeared.
i have a ipod classic and use ubuntu 8.10
