I found it on getsatisfaction.com/pbwiki here:

This public wiki does NOT need any of the following:
1. last edited
2. Page history
3. Recent wiki activity
We want to get rid of these so what code is needed, please?
Thank you, Polly – Polly Potter, on August 27, 2008 15:09

I am an elemetary school librarian. I use wikis to share information about book lists, such as those with examples of figurative language, great opening papagraphs, good to teach inference, etc. I start the lists and then teachers can add to them or I add books as I find them.
I also have a wiki to publish podcasts of book reviews that students write and video.
I also set up a wiki for all the librarians in our district so we can share info, have a central location for lists, addresses, fixes for software problems, etc.
I also use wikis as sources of handouts, resource lists, and other information that participants need during workshops. Participants like being able to access the info at home after the workshop.

My wiki site is the HUB of my library! It's linked to the main website (or will be, once I revamp it this summer). It's where I collect all my resource links. ALL of my pathfinders are wikis; I have a separate administrator code, but also a student code so they can get it and add resources. It makes for some good discussions about good/bad sites, etc.

Awesome- I just graduated from the College of St. Catherine, which has ties to Dominican. I'm sure we've probably had some of the same professors. Good luck, and stay in touch if there is anything else I can do for you :) – Rachel Pennig, on May 23, 2008 00:16

Carrie - welcome to the discussion. What library school are you going to?
I used a wiki in the last library I worked at. I used it to keep track of my frequently ordered supplies, my policies and procedures for item checkouts, my stats, even for tracking my renegade patrons.
Be sure to check out our library examples on this page: https://educators.pbwiki.com/Example+...
and check out our librarian webinars here: www.pbwiki.com/content/webinars.
Stay in touch!

Hi, Corinne. I've just started a similar project. My library is expanding and digitizing our manual for library clerks. How is your project coming along? I can be reached at rmalino2 [at] uiuc [dot] edu – Residence Hall Libraries, on May 13, 2008 19:09

Sinful Seven Layer Bars
Melt 1 stick of margarine in a 9x12 pan, stir in 1 tsp. vanilla.
Mix 1 Tbsp. flour into 1 1/2 c. Graham Cracker crumbs, sprinkle evenly over the melted mixture and pat into a crust. Layer on a cup of each of the following: flaked coconut, butterscotch chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour a can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk over all (it;s the 'glue'). Sprinkle one cup of chopped pecans over all. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes until the top is pale golden brown. Cool thoroughly, cut into small squares, store or gorge.

I have opened this edu wiki up, internationally, to share good books and good reading ideas with everyone. Your thoughts are valued. Feel free to add a book review, too.

I set up a wiki to keep track of online cataloguing tools, passwords, logins, etc., as well as in-house cataloguing decisions. I also have cataloguing policies up ( which are usually static, but need updating now and again). I also embedded a delicious bookmark, so that we can share articles, websites etc.,

I work in the ILL Department of our public library, and I created a wiki to help our reference staff research places to find materials for their patrons and the things usually required by the lending institutions. We have two regional branches and 5 smaller branches. I have a filing cabinet full of bits and pieces of information I've learned through the years and wanted a way to share that info with our staff. This way, they can access the information at any time and help me keep it current if they learn something new.
