I was commenting only on the negative reviews and feedback, in response to a specific note tomboy501 has sent to us, via our public support channel.
We obviously listened to the feedback regardless of how it was done, and added these new features. Please point me to the repeated emails you're talking about, I'd be happy to address them. – Neil Roberts, on November 04, 2009 03:59

Thanks for the positivity. We just published some stats about who is using the new custom sound choices on our @BitMethod Twitter account and, as expected, a very small percentage of our users were creating a lot of these negative reviews and feedback. We want to make our App powerful, of course, but we need to spend time thinking about the best way to make it useful to everyone. – Neil Roberts, on November 03, 2009 17:49
Neil Roberts replied on October 28, 2009 18:37 to the question "Place Search Ambiguity" in Brightkite:
I'm not really talking about the visited places map. The way I imagine you'd integrate it with the new check in list you have is that each row (in the area currently populated with the address) might have something like: "300ft: 123 4th St" (e.g. the distance away) that would redraw as the GPS lock got better. As for the map, it would be nice to see once you've chosen one of the locations, below the "Check In Here" that showed the location as well as your current GPS lock
Neil Roberts asked a question in Brightkite on October 26, 2009 19:48:
Place Search AmbiguityYou guys introduced some things in the last version that are now gone, and I really miss them. The first major one was how accurate the current GPS fix is. The second was being able to view one of the places on a map (It wasn't the most intuitive, but at least I could do it). My main problem resolves around trying to check in places where there are two locations on the same road. When Dahl's doesn't show up in my list, for example, I don't know if I should just wait for the GPS fix to get better, or search for it. If I search for it, I see two locations on Merle Hay, which is a pretty long road. I'm not sure of the address, so I don't know which one to check in to. I'm sure there's a much better UI that the one introduced in the new 2.0 version-

This has been resolved. There should have been no disruption in service, subscriptions are being enabled today. Also, for anyone else hoping that downgrading will let them skip payments, it should be noted that our system simply checks for valid subscriptions. The original version won't prevent our system from checking for that. – Neil Roberts, on October 12, 2009 13:33

It looks like at one point Apple was having problems sending messages to your device and the code that was supposed to reenable your device wasn't working. It should be fixed now. – Neil Roberts, on September 24, 2009 16:50
