The fact that these threads still get responses after al this time suggest to me that a lot of folks feel like I do: Stikkit had so much more promise than Sandy currently does. Sorry, not trying to be a troll, but that's how I feel.

Well, I thought I'd dig this up again. Twitter was Sandy's IM interface for a while, and now it's been gone for over a month.

I'm not going to ask for Sandy to have her own IM stuff done this week (although I wouldn't complain if she did). But I would like to know if this is still a possibility.

Right - the IM should not depend on Twitter. Twitter isn't dependable, so if I'm going to depend on Sandy I need a better way of interacting with her. The web interface is nice, but it's not going to integrate with any type of smooth consistent daily workflow. IM solves all those problems and it's not very hard to set up. I want to use Sandy on a daily basis for everything, but I need either a nearly-flawless twitter or IM to make that happen.

just found out how to link sandy+twitter+im couple days ago. Also found out that twitter stopped their im service.

I have it so that I use the public ics feed for Sandy in my Google Calendar, but I 'hide' it. I then set up a 2nd calendar called Sandy in Scheduleworld, then synchronise it to the Sandy calendar in my Google Calendar. My mobile phone is set to synchronise every hour, so when it synchronises it automatically pushes the Sandy entries into my calendar (which is 'shown' on my Google calendar page). I can't update Sandy from Google Calendar, but Sandy can update Google calendar via my phone synchronisation. Hope that makes sense. More information is available at: http://scheduleworld.wordpress.com/support/ it says: ScheduleWorld has a 1:1 mapping between ScheduleWorld and Google calendars.
