You are rushing to conclusions here.

The login header is there so you can give us feedback if you happen to not be logged in. That is the function. If you want to share the feed for others to click through on that is your decision.

We favor privacy and personal functionality over sharing when it comes to these RSS feeds.

There is a login at the top when you click through on items from the feed so we can track your reading or flipping. Once you login once a cookie is set so you no longer have to see that login at the top.
