Discover Pro is not ad-supported, that's for sure. Three other changes I noticed basing on the screenshots are the ability to turn the Discover server on and off, the ability to share files via box.net and new folders graphics. There may be other changes, as Discover Pro version is 1.2.0. I haven't purchased Discover Pro, so that's all I know.

By the way, according to their Twitter post, Discover is going to be renamed to aFile. I don't know when the new version is coming out. They are busy with other projects.

They have changed their company name to mAPPn. Their website is now http://www.mappn.com. Unfortunately, the Discover server for Mac was stored on the bbase.mobi website and is currently unavailable. The new website has the community forums, but administrators do not seem to browse it. Try e-mailing them (there is an e-mail link on the Support page).

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Apple doesn't allow 3rd party applications to access iPhone OS file system, so Photos folder cannot be accessed anymore in the newest Discover version.

The best way to transfer multiple files is to map Discover as a network drive. See Discover help for detailed information.

It looks like that Discover Pro hasn't been published in the App Store yet. Ad-supported Discover 1.0 is already available for almost a month. Discover Pro should be already out, but it's not.

Try unchecking "Reconnect at login". Also, if you have set an username and a password in Discover settings, click "Log in using different username" and input these information.

Translating Discover to more languages

At the moment Discover is only available in English and in simplified Chinese. It would be great if users could enjoy Discover in their own language. Some time ago you were looking for translators who would help translate Discover to Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, French, German and Italian. Did anyone email you? I could help you translate Discover to Polish.

Large text files require much processing power and may make iPhones and iPods hang. These devices have 400-420 mHz processors depending on model and 128 MB RAM.

Actually, Discover screen can be rotated to landscape mode while viewing any file. I don't understand why you removed rotation support on a file list. Discover still looks fine in landscape mode.

Photos folder is fully operational in Discover 1.0

After I updated Discover to version 1.0 I noticed that the standard "No operation allowed" message doesn't show up within Photos folder anymore and all file and folder operations (renaming, moving etc.) can be performed, both in Discover itself and in a web browser interface. I asked this question because this shouldn't be happening. Here is an example screenshot of 999APPLE folder being operational:

Do you use Microsoft Office Word 2007? I'm not sure but I think Discover cannot read .docx documents (I use Microsoft Office 2003). If you use Word 2007 and save you documents in .docx format, try saving them as .doc.
