A comment on the idea "COM Interface for developers" in Spotify:
Eeeek! No... .NET is a very bad idea. It's such a slow and bulkey language, which requires .NET frameworks to be installed, it prevents any kind of portability to other operating systems. An HTTP interface would be a much better solution still, from COM.
I have a real problem with .NET, it's just not a well built infrastructure. – psynegy, on July 12, 2009 14:57
A comment on the question "Will there be an equalizer to Spotify?" in Spotify:
Of course you can, there's a technical term "tuning the room" where a mic'ed live performance is being done. Basically determining the rooms resonant frequencies, and using a graphic (usually 32 band) graphic EQ.
So by reducing the level that (per room) resonant frequencies are emitted, you will flatten the response of your speakers. – psynegy, on May 25, 2009 23:45

Did a little digging, found the JS code they use:
function replaceCurrentPageWithUrl(url) {
window.location.href = url;
info("Window History Length: " + window.history.length);
if (window.history.length < 2) {
setTimeout('window.close()', 100);
} else {
setTimeout('window.history.back()', 100);
}
return true;
}

Awesomes :)

COM Interface for developersMuch like iTunes, it would be excellent to have a way to interface with Spotify on a COM level. This would allow developers to very easily create such applications as remote controls (from mobile devices or other computers).

psynegy reported a problem in Spotify on May 04, 2009 13:46:
Cannot (but can) play certain tracks in the UK...From the 'Top lists' songs page, I cannot play half the songs, but if I goto albums, I can play the same tracks without a problem. The error that appears is: "This track is currently not available in the United Kingdom."
