[TTWP]krohn7master's reply to "Very vague Twinkle rules" was just promoted to the most useful! PureEminences and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.
You're allowed to post anything that can be seen in a PG13 movie. Nude pictures, and extremely violent content is not in PG13 movies.
Additional rules:
-Don't be a dick to other people. Swearing is completely fine, but if you're cussing out other people and trying to be offensive, then you're stupid and you're not cool. You will be asked to stop and if you continue, you will be banned.
-Do not ask others for nude pictures or sexually harass people. That means no "Nice tits" or "I want to fuck you" etc.
-Remember, private messages can indeed be seen by tapulous employees. Do not think that we can't because we will investigate you if someone complains.
Banning:
-The report user button works where if a user gets 5? reports in 10 minutes, they will be banned for 24 hours.
-Any Twinkle moderator can ban you whenever they want. The ban will last 24 hours.
-The only way you can be permanently banned is if a Tapulous employee does it. Your device will most likely be blocked from all Tapulous applications if you are permanently banned from an application of ours.
No, the rules aren't clear, but the fact is we do not feel that we should police a huge group of people in an iPod application. We only really deal with stuff if a person comes forward and complains. We leave moderators to deal with stuff they see that they deem inappropriate. We are, afterall, a very small company and we deal with a huge amount of people. The Tapulous employees, and other people, have much better things to do than to just go around and punish people who say fuck you to other people and go off about how you’re ugly and stuff.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions.
Also, I'm assuming you were banned for a good reason. Justifying your name is "Marco_Porno"
A comment on the question "Tapulous, Whats Wrong?" in Tapulous:
THANK YOU ED. THAT WAS ALL WE AS A COMMUNITY WANTED.
ALL we were asking for was acknowledgement that the app is late and that the dev team behind it is still working on it. We DO realize that it's a huge burden and we DO appreciate folks like Ed who make the effort to keep us informed. The fact that ED HIMSELF is kept in the dark means that communication failure has become a companywide problem. The people dealing with the customers should be armed with all the information they need so that the ones in the background can work with interruption from the public.
krohn, Emeraldcollector, and DX-Chain. Perhaps its something to do with thinking logically, but if you are getting "ANOTHER COMPLAINT THREAD" and it's been the 800th, MAYBE it would be a good time to step back and check whether the complaints carry any weight to them.
krohn, i'm sure that can be argued on the second point and I realize that, but I'm under the impression that, considering that you guys have a blog, it PROBABLY would not be far too much of a hassle if you posted a short update, right? Or maybe you have an elaborate blogging system that demands 8 hours of coding work to update.
If people are whining because they want to purchase a PAID app from YOUR company, it would probably be a good idea invests just a tad more time into them. We are not complaining that the lite version of an app doesn't have the features as the paid one, ok? We are complaining that we can't BUY YOUR APP.
Customer should always comes first, regardless of industry.
danielth, you'll see that I've already addressed your reply in my first point. and riddim ribbon was not my only concern on this.
Emeraldcollector and DX-Chain. Thank you for posting comments with zero relevance to the topic at hand.
I tried to be completely coherent in this because I too get annoyed by the people who whine on and on when they don't get their way. Apparently some people in this community simply can't tell the difference. Did any of you actually bother to read past the first sentence before jumping in guns ablazing? – PureEminences, on November 04, 2009 02:20
A comment on the question "Tapulous, Whats Wrong?" in Tapulous:
So Ed has been unhelpful (no offense, Ed). Ed is clearly the only employee at Tapulous (and in extension, GS) and if he doesn't know, then no other employee in the company will know.
I'm sorry if I'm picky, but "I don't know" is simply not a good answer from the company developing the application. If this was being outsourced to another iPhone app developer, then I could understand. But Tapulous develops their own apps, so they don't really have an excuse for not being in their own loop.
The majority of the medium sized app developers have a blog to let their users know when an application goes into approval to lift any blames of delay away from them an onto Apple. IF, as you say, it is in review, then I'm surprised Tapulous hasnt announced it, especially since it's the fastest way to build hype on every blog and social network.
And blame Apple for not hiring more people. There are 40 people at Apple responsible for approving apps and their updates and each app needs two thumbs up before being released.
(By the way, if you could slow down and check your typing, much appreciated) – PureEminences, on November 03, 2009 09:56-

PureEminences asked a question in Tapulous on November 03, 2009 07:33:
Tapulous, Whats Wrong?Ok, So I've been playing Tap Tap since the jailbreak days and I've been following Tapulous all this time, but some things are really getting under my skin.
1. UPDATE YOUR FANS. Ok? I've said it before and I'll say it again: You don't want to see a crowd of angry apple users on your tail. Rogers in Canada found that out the hard way when they decided to withhold iPhone 3G and 3GS details until last minute. If something is late because you had to rush another product out or theres a bug that needs to be resolves (ex. Riddim Ribbon) then just let us know. Don't be all secretive and completely ignore every Get Satisfaction topic on it (or worse, reply with "idunno"). I might as well throw the Twitter account into a new Vaporware list.
2. It seems that aside from the Tap Tap series, every other tapulous app is completely ignored after its release. Fortune, I can understand since Kyle was only an intern. But Twinkle, Collage, Friendbook, Tweetsville. Even the older special edition Tap Taps. Have you guys decided to be a one app company and throw out all your old apps?
I don't mean to sound whiny and I apologize if I come across that way, but for a company thats been around since the first iPhone, it seems like Tapulous really has yet to fully understand its own fanbase. I've been around GS for a couple days and it seems like a fair number of other users seem to share this sentiment.
What do you guys think?

I'm actually surprised the chatrooms don't filter the "cute ways" automatically. I guess it can only get better from here.
and common sense and being smart are prevalent in young children. and they play tap tap just like the rest of us. Unless you'd like to start an age and intelligence verification system, a list of basic rules that users must agree to prior to using chat would be much more beneficial – PureEminences, on November 03, 2009 07:27-

A comment on the question "Riddim Ribbon?" in Tapulous:
Well, considering their loyal following of iPhone users, we kinda just expect a short update at the very least on how its coming along. And as Rogers in Canada has no doubt discovered, leaving Apple users in the dark is certainly not the best policy.
At the very least publicly acknowledge that it's late. it'll at least douse the fire temporarily – PureEminences, on November 01, 2009 06:52

I've found the answer. Twitterfon for the iPhone supports A-GPS coordinate updating. Just press the Locate button when you are typing a tweet.
@Ben @Niklas - The reason I want the coordinates is that it is very useful during large events. The ability to post my coordinates is WAY better than telling someone that I'm by the sno-cone truck. Generally, I stick with Twitteriffic's built in city-wide location updates-
