Make sure you unplug the unit first or else the letter opener could get stuck in there too or damage the drive system...

Have you tried wrapping tape around a letter opener and pushing it into the slot to see if the bill sticks for easy removal?

My kid thought it would be a safe place to stash money - so our wii now has a $5 inside. I would like to take apart the console and just get it out, but there are these little screws that are unusually shaped, and so I am stuck. Any ideas? I don't want to be without the wii for weeks on end.
