I deleted the mail in question, sorry. But it's simple enough to see -- the URL has the sequence foo/#blah/ -- which stops Apple Mail making the entirety of the URL into a link

Don't you need to click inside the link of an email before you can start using seesmic ? Oh i remember, you get a special invitation code, so you registered, but mistyped the email ? Uh, that's bad. So they need to make a second field, where you have to proof the first time you wrote the email address was typed correctly ? Too bad I always copy paste :)
Can't you register again with the correct email ?

I'm only saying this does not solve the problem because I think the interface is goofy.

Check out the 4 vids I just posted (7:46 am EST) to @silent.

When I remove the @silent from the subject line, it makes my selection box for other names go away BUT it still says "direct video to silent" underneath it so I still thought it was going to send it. I think those words should go away. Without those words I would have had no confusion.

(And I now see the lock on private videos).

Um, can't seem to replicate the behaviour...
Can you describe in more detail what you're doing, step by step? Maybe try posting some private messages @silent (my user), so that I can check more closely.

The tweets refer to their twitter account names, not Seesmic.

Inside Seesmic, check the 'Settings' menu/'My Social Networks'. There you can set your twitter username/pw.
