A comment on the idea "Installer for popular linux distributions." in Songbird:

An autopackage would be great. I used one for a vector application, Inkscape, a couple years ago. I use the version in the repository for Ubuntu though.

picking on the ones that do not have .deb installers or are not in the
Software Center for Ubuntu. It would be nice to have them.

Other popular distributions would be nice as well. Fedora, openSuse,
Debian, Ubuntu, etc.

How about a software source for synaptic that automatically updates
Songbird?

How about providing a software source for synaptic that will automatically update flock as well? Opera is now doing this.
