Is it just that song that you are experiancing the problem? The Fall Out Boy tracks were updated and if you don't have the updated version of the song then you won't get any points. Try deleting and redownloading the song. That should fix it.

Doing this would only increase lag though. Because the music app automatically backgrounds which decreases the memory that TTR3 has to work with.

Yes, I think at least this is necisary. I'd still prefer if your score and percent was shown for each song as in TTR2.

I'm guessing this is apples problem. So to report it to them in iTunes, go to Store > View My Account, go to purchase history, and use the "Report A Problem" link. Apple should be able to help you with that.
