Ok, I have an update.
Along with the static from the speakers there is also a noticeable stutter / pause with the program that is running and courser / mouse movement. -
A comment on the problem "Dell Inspiron E1505 battery and charger do not work" in Dell:
My battery has those 5 lights that light up just fine. But the computer says there is no battery. I just bought a new AC adapter for the comp hoping that would solve the no battery problem. The original AC adapter had a visible break in it. No luck. Still no battery.
I've had a few problems with this Dell e1505. HD died a few months after purchase. The battery / charger stopped functioning right around the year mark. Not the computer is suffering some strange sound problem, where there is a static spike about every 1.5 seconds, a stutter and or reverb quality also in the audio. In sync with the stutter is a slight pause for video.
All together I'm looking for a new laptop. But it won't be a Dell. – R F, on April 19, 2009 12:28 -

Sound has a lot of staticYesterday, out of the blue, we started getting a lot of static from our E1505 Inspiron laptop. Doesn't matter if it is from the speakers or the headphones.
Any ideas?
