since i won't touch outlook with a 10 foot pole, my answer has been to subscribe a google calendar to airset, and use the google calendar on the phone via the web.
nuevasync offers to sync google calendars to iphones, but only for the user's native calendars (not subscribed calendars) so airset stuff doesn't show up. in all of this there's no answer to maintaining calendar entries when out of range, or sharing changes back to airset - i have to wait to get to a computer to change things in airset directly.
for contacts i exported from airset to windows address book and have to remember to make changes in airset when i add or edit contacts.
for lists i migrated to tadalists.com.
I really hope there's an airset iphone interface soon, and that it maintains the usefulness of the original airset mobile client, which i've used for years.
I feel like I've lost my ability to keep track of things.

If you don't have Outlook on your PC, iTunes also supports syncing to Yahoo Address book, you could export your contacts from AirSet, import them into Yahoo and then choose this option (available on the info tab in iTunes when you have your iPhone connected to your PC). Admittedly a little lame but it's all I can think of for the time being.

As the CEO and founder here at AirSet, I can tell you that it's not a question of if, but simply when we will support the iPhone with a client. In the meantime, there are quite a few things you can do.
For Mac Users - to get your AirSet Calendar data on your iPhone:
Subscribe to your AirSet calendar(s) using icalendar feeds - this is a feature supported by the Mac iCal application and will get all of your AirSet calendar data into iCal so when you sync your iPhone with iTunes all of your events will appear in the iPhone calendar. To learn how to get the feed URL and how to subscribe in iCal, just click on Help while in the AirSet Calendar and search for icalendar.
For Mac Users - to get your AirSet Contacts on your iPhone:
Use AirSet's Contacts export feature to export all of your contacts to a vcard file which the Mac's Address Book application imports. The Apple import gives you the option of ignoring duplicates, so it not too painful to simply do this every couple of weeks.
For Windows users:
iTunes for Windows now supports Outlook sync so you can use our desktop sync client (available from the AirSet "More Tools" icon in the left toolbar) to sync to Outlook and then follow Apple's directions to have Outlook sync with iTunes and subsequently the iPhone contacts and calendar.
As I said, we'll definitely have dedicated AirSet iPhone support in the future, but we have quite a few projects on the website that we have to complete before we will get there, so these work arounds are your best bet at the moment.

Hi Robert,
Glad that solved it for you.
Good question. Right now, any company related meta-data is only shown in the company area(s) that the user is associated with. We have debated this off & on since the beginning -- whether to display it across the site or not -- and I do believe some changes are coming in that direction.
Robert K. replied on August 04, 2008 19:32 to the question "Official Rep vs Employee" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Amy, I didn't see the profile option for setting my title. That's exactly what I had in mind.
... but is that title shown to users anywhere? If I click on somebody else's avatar or name I see a profile page for them, but I don't see any title information there. i.e. As a user, how would I know what role/title a person has within their company?
Amy Muller replied on August 04, 2008 19:14 to the question "Official Rep vs Employee" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Robert,
For your first issue -- adjusting your title... There is a title field. You can give yourself a title in addition to the "Employee" badge. You see in the upper left or this page where it lists the Company Participation and next to my avatar it says "Cruise Director"? You can add/edit that on this page in your profile section:
Would that suffice for you or were you hoping for more flexibility?
Love your idea of providing descriptions of role permissions on the admin page. We of course have a topic about that but I'm always looking for ways to better surface and contextualize that kind of help content.
As to your last point. Our original thinking in terms of the distinction between "Employee" and "Official Rep" was to distinguish for customers that there is an "inside perspective" (former) and an "official voice" (latter). Now, again, we haven't found an effective way of communicating that other than through the afore mentioned help topic so I'm sure it's a concept that most users don't grok. However, I believe we have some pretty significant changes coming to roles when we release our new suite of pay-for tools. So this may become a moot point.
Thanks for your $.02. We always appreciate it.

As a person with a GSFN account, I have three "hats" I wear, and the roles you're discussing vary in relevance dramatically based on the hat, as follows...
As an employee, the way I want to be seen is by the title that's on my business card. And I've never had a card that says "employee" or "official rep". i.e. Give me a "title" field on my profile page. (BTW, I'll be needing one for each company I happen to represent, of which there may be more than one).
As a GSFN administrator, I want to know what exactly are the permissions I'm granting when I assign someone to a role. Having a table that shows which roles can do what on the admin page would be really useful for that.
As a user making suggestions and reporting bugs to some other company, here's how my interest in the roles of other people breaks down:
50% - "Can you fix my problem/contribute to my topic?"
40% - "Do you work for the company?"
9% - "How much influence do you have? (a.k.a. 'what's your title?')"
< 1% - "What is your role in the GSFN permissions system?"
In other words, don't bother showing me the employee-official rep distinction anywhere except on the "Accounts & Roles" UI for managing the employees of our company.
Just my $.02

Educators collaboration is definitely a good thing for the academic community. I've talked to college professors who can appreciate getting second opinions on their lecture topics and class outlines.
One professor told me that being able to share resources between teachers can definitely bypass some headaches and roadblocks in their professional career.

Hey, deafwomynpride, is your question about videos for Yahoo? I'm not sure and want to clarify. – Eric Suesz, on July 08, 2008 06:37

Valid feedback, for sure! We are working on some helpful videos that will make it easier to get a good intro to our site for new users. – Eric Suesz, on July 08, 2008 06:37

thanks... I didn't see it before... I originally tried to find an FAQ/manual/intro guide on the site but there wasn't anything. I understand you guys like to use the site as designed but it would be helpful to have a traditional intro guide or something (maybe you do and I missed it... which would mean it isn't easy to find). – silvervein, on July 08, 2008 06:34

In that case, silvervein, you can stop following a topic and you won't get anymore e-mail notifications about it. You can find that in the upper-right hand corner of a topic page. Like so:

Or, you can choose "Stop following this question" in your e-mail. The latter is probably the easiest choice. It appears in every e-mail notification about a topic.
